RECENT AND UPCOMING events

Dr. Mark Graham will give a virtual presentation of our project, “Defining and Measuring Student Trust of Instructors in College STEM Courses” to the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) Monthly Network Meeting this July. 

In July 2024, post-doctoral associate Kathy Zhang presented findings from an improved model of student buy-in and the process of developing an instrument measuring student trust in their STEM instructor at the annual Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) conference taking place in Minneapolis, MN.

In June 2024, Dr. Mark Graham and Program Manager Julie Bennie attended the NSF Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE) Summit in Washington D.C, presenting a talk and poster on our process of evaluating Vision & Change, a dynamic movement for reforming undergraduate biology education, using pathway modeling. 

PI Jane Buckley and Program Manager Julie Bennie presented a poster at the regional Society for Advancements in Biology Education Research (SABER) conference on our developed pathway model of Vision & Change in May 2024. 

Dr. Mark Graham served as a panelist at the annual NSF Education Core Research (ECR) panel discussion on Advances in Measurement and Assessment in STEM Learning Research, which took place in Washington D.C. in May 2024.

Julia Gill and Lia Crowley presented finding from the impact of meaning making in course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) at the 2022 NSF IUSE Summit in Washington D.C. from June 1-3, 2022.
